In August of 2025 I went back to Cambodia for my 5th trip to film a piece for an old friend of mine, Rin Yame, who I met when I interviewed him for my first feature length doc, A Drop of Water. We have remained friends ever since and I’ve followed his move from director at Water of Life to founding the church at Mercy Village, a very poor community in the outskirts of Phnom Penh, Cambodia.
As a tiny nonprofit without a US parent organization fundraising can be difficult and I felt compelled by God to film a piece to not only show the village’s transformation as a worthy cause for donation, but also to honor Rin’s life as a missionary and servant.
I get no greater personal and spiritual reward than doing work like this and I hope you’ll give it a look!
If you would like to support his work you can make a tax deductible donation at mercyvillagecambodia.com!
